Age of Woe

Hello everyone,

This is Sonny writing and I would like to say a few things about what happened last night during our show at Underground Remains Open Air.
I do this because I think you all deserve to know what happened and that I am ok after all. So, it's out of respect for all of you who wanted to see Age of Woe and only got to see a few songs and of course to all of you who helped out and worried about me. I can't thank you enough for the support, help and love me and the rest of the band got last night and it helped us deal with this unfortunate situation.

During our performance and a few songs in, I blacked out and was unconscious for a while laying on stage. I have no memory of this and I can only remember playing 2 songs and then it's just black until I finally wake up. I wake up to a lot of faces, voices and hands doing their best to help me out. I have no idea where I am until a couple of minutes later and because people tell me where I'm at. It all happened so fast.
After consulting with the brilliant medic team at the festival I was sent to the hospital in an ambulance.

After spending a few hours undergoing tests and answering questions from the doctors and getting my heart and blood pressure monitored, I was discharged around 23.00 last night with a diagnose stating that the reason to my collapse was due to exhaustion and dehydration. It happens to the best of us.

Now, the day after, I feel fine except for the mental and psychological toll this have caused me. I feel sad and disappointed and I know this worried a lot of people sick, most of all my band and my loving family and wife. But also all of you who came to see us.

I know I shouldn't feel like I need to apologies, but that's the feeling I have. On the other hand I also feel a tremendous gratitude and love towards all of you who rushed to my aid and to all of you in the audience who rushed up on stage to aid and help.
I can't even begin to tell you how much I appreciate it and I wish I could give each and everyone of you a big hug. Hopefully I will be able to one day.

So, to wrap this up. I'm fine and you guys are the best. I'm forever thankful and I really hope we can come back and play a full set for all of you you was excited to see us live.

To my lovely band mates, the medic staff and all of you festival goers, thank you from the bottom of my heart.

Take care and see you all soon!

//Sonny
